Gefell UMT70S / M930
Hey dudes,

Can anyone comment on the tonal differences between the Gefell M930 (cardioid only) and the UMT70S in cardioid mode? They have different capsules, so obviously they're going to sound different but they are both highly praised. Anyone tried them both?

I'm not sure how much use I'd get out of the non-cardioid patterns, but I suspect that the UMT70S in cardioid mode is a bit nicer than the M930.

I'd like to use it for male vocals and for room micing guitar amps, primarily.

the m930 is a bit rounder/smoother than the um70s, with more of a low extension. I own 930s and owned 70s for a long time.

umt70s is a tad "faster" and precise.
