Metric Halo users: please help

Hi,
I'm having alot of fun reamping stuff with a Radial X-amp and also connecting a tape-echo.
I'm sure the roundtrip is creating a latency, I just don't know how to cope with this. Nudging files manually (how much?) or let Protools handle it (how?)
SETUP: Metric Halo ULN2 + Metric Halo 2882. Out to X-amp and tape-echo via 2882

Any help greatly appreciated

I'm sure there are better/easier/more controlled ways but what I usually do is just put one small click sound before the real tracks starts, then it's just to zoom in and move the recorded track until the clicks match up.

Some daws have this kind of thing built in, like a "ping" feature that measures the roundtrip latency and moves the track accordingly
