| Gear Head | JFL Audio MP F4 tube mic preamp
So I recently just had a client bring his JFL Audio MP F4 tube mic preamp, which I had never heard of before. I was really curious about it since the client knew that we had some pretty great pres already(vintage 1073s, 1272, 737, 512's ect). After hearing it I now know why he brought it! It really sounded amazing. So I've been trying to research the company JFL Audio but it looks like its not around any more. I know they are hand built tube pres but that is about it. Can any one shed some light of this amazing preamp? It seems very rare but special! Thanks!

| Lives for gear |
I want to say I heard somewhere that these guys (Frank Lacy & Terry Manning) are "Lucas Engineering" now. Maybe someone can confirm.
