Thoughts?

Without a doubt, there are much smarter folks on GS than I. What's your thoughts/input on this?

there is already a thread about this in the Moan Zone, which of course is where such stuff belongs!

That thread is filled with New Age bilgewater and anti-scientific baloney as this one is also destined to be.

Think about it. Every human body is different. Your human fingers are just millimeters longer or shorter than the next guy's fingers

The same is true of your basilar membrane. The idea that everyone's cochela 'resonates' at the same pitch is laughable because they are not the same size. No two humans perceive pitch exactly the same.

Moreover, the length of a second is an accident of history thanks to the whim of a particular Roman Emperor who had a thing for "twelves".

All 'tunings' and all subdivisions of time are arbitrary and cultural, and none are more natural or healthy or spiritual than the others. Indeed the starter of the other thread proposed that A=444 Hz was the 'healthy' and 'spiritual' tuning that will bring about world peace.

Clearly 432 Hz is much too low! The other guy says we have to tune UP from where we are now, not down!

And of course it is absolutely out of the question that the tuning we are actually using could turn out be the spiritual one. What fun would that be if we didn't have to argue for changing it?

See you in the Zone

Real soon, I'll bet.

Ouch. I actually have never been to the "Moan Zone" forum and this clearly was not a post geared for it. I asked for some input not a skewering! You will never see me there if this is where you reside. Take a pill and get over yourselves.
