Klein & Hummel O300D with or without O800 Sub?

I am currently using a pair of Klein & Hummel O300D monitors in my studio and have been considering adding the O800 matching sub.

My room is a smaller room at 14' x 11'.

Would adding the sub be overkill considering the size of my room?

The crossover point by adding the O800 sub is around 90Hz. By adding one sub vs a pair be a compromise in any way to making decisions around this frequency range or are users of just one O800 happy with the sound?

I have read in a few forums that people really liked this combination as it opened up the sound of the O300Ds more. I monitor at realistic levels (around 84db RMS or less) and rarely turn them up really loud where the limiter begins to kick in.

Thanks and look forward to your experiences with this monitor package!

I have also a "small room" and have the 0800sub... Can't mix without it. I putt a foot-switch with it to bypass it sometimes to check. Even on lower levels it's open more up the mid/low to lows.

If you can get one, becoz the 0800 is going out of production so when the stock least, get on.

Do search on me in a post your studio thread for info / pictures.
