I have to say, it's probably cheaper to get a lynx aurora 16 second hand than buying a dedicated 16 ch da, both in terms of cost price ratio and pthd integration. The only other interface I can think of priced decently would be the Apogee da but you'll get a lot more use out of the Lynx. |

Gotta agree here, another Aurora 16 seems an ideal solution in this instance. Cheers. Sent from my MB855 using Gearslutz.com |

You could only hook up the outputs... or just clear the inputs from your i/o setup.

Agreed, no better bang for the buck than a used Aurora when you need PTHD integration. I'm selling an Aurora 8 with LTHD card if you're interested.

The old Euphonix converters are the only ones I can think of that come in an only DA or AD format - they sound great, but you would also need a madi box to get into PT. I'm in love with the new AVID HD interfaces - you can buy them with only output cards direct from Avid as far as I know. If not , buy an 16x16 and ebay the defunct input cards edit. forgot the burl and the IZ ADA - but pricy |

I've seen used Apogee DA16x's go for between 1500-1900 with an xhd card. I don't know if i've ever seen a lynx aurora 16 sell for less than 2,000 used, but if u find one, thats probably the move. kp |
