Senn. HD-800 cable

Hi,

I have a QESLabs headphone amp (Thank's Val...), it has balanced inputs so I have to re-cable my Sennheiser HD-800 and HD-650 phones. I really would not like to destroy my HD-800 original cable, that is quite good. I cannot however get my hands on the plugs that connect to the phones. I have mailed the company in Germany who makes them for Sennheiser but they answered that they could not sell them as they are made exclusively for Sennheiser (makes sense), then I mailed Apuresound and Dimex (both twice), but none of them actually bothered to write back. 6Moons sells the connectors but shipping to Europe is more expensive than the connectors...
I know Cardas sells some very expensive cable ready made. I am in Europe, can anybody please help?

The way to do it is to buy a replacement cable from Sennheiser and change the connectors to balanced.

The cable is balanced as standard, so all you have to do is to cut off the jack plug and replace it with the balanced connector(s) of your choice.

I had thought that Sennheiser would be offering balanced cables by now - obviously not.

Thanks. Yes it seems like the only option left in reality. I am going to get in contact with my local Sennheiser dealer where I bought the phones.
And YES...Sennheiser should be offering balanced cables by now, seeing as the product is clearly made for pro audio use.

What seems strange is the lack of answers by the cable manufactures.
