Thread Starter | Maschine or MPC Renaissance
Hey Guys, I've been a dweller on these forums for a while and am just now getting to posting here. I did not find a similar thread through search. Also I wasn't sure if this was supposed to be in the low end section. I was wondering what I should do. I just saw the Renaissance on a video from NAMM '12 and this thing looks really cool. I have a Maschine because it looked good and was received well, but honestly, I don't ilke it very much. I am very good at figuring out software and I find the software to be very counterintuitive. Also, it lacks too many features. I've had it for about a year now and it is still in great condition. I was wondering if I should sell it now (the used value will drop soon because of the Renaissance release) and save up for a Renaissance. Some say not to though because it is half the price and NI will be forced to improve it now that there is some competition. I have a feeling a new Maschine will come out soon also. I know that MPCs are (or were) considered the standard and they look very fun to use. **edit** I also just saw the Pro MPC which is just a controller. This may be more direct competition to the Maschine. Thanks a lot for your help. HFT |

I would wait to sell the Maschine until we find out more about the MPC software and how it runs. The new line of MPCs and the Maschine are worthless without software or a computer. Also, the resale value of the Maschine probably wont drop that much, especially if you're selling on Craigslist.
