Metric Halo - Mobile I/O 2882 vs. RME Fireface 400

Hi guys,

I am willing to get a new Interface.
Now there is a good offer to buy a used Metric Halo - Mobile I/O 2882
I don't know what to do..
Get the RME Fireface 400 or pay a bit more and get the Metric Halo - Mobile I/O 2882

Which of them has the better converters and preamps?

Let me know what your choice were and why..

best

The mh is awesome, I love mine! The pres though, really lack enough gain to use on anything but drum kit and loud amps. If I go over 27 - 28 db of gain it is noisier than should be acceptable. Really surprising for a piece of gear in this price range. Everything else though is fully awesome. The dsp runs out of processing power to quickly to be of any real use, but that is what the computer is for anyway....drivers and support are always excellent !

Sold my RME Fireface 400 two years ago.
Had problems with FW to iMac.
Bought Metric Halo Uln-2 and never had a problem.
Converters are better than FF400.
If you don't need many Ins and Outs then go with Metric Halo Uln-2. It has better Preamps than 2882 or FF400 and the same price range as 2882.
BTW Metric Halo is really very awesome if you mix ITB and use the MIO console.
Good luck!
