Hey thanks for the link. I tried searching, but all I can find are updates. The updates require Pro Tools HD 8 to already be installed.

you should find it in your Avid account "my downloads" or something like this, if not send me an PM and i will upload it somewhere for you.

I have the same problem and can't find it anywhere. What account are you referring to?

Gabriel's offer is very generous and considerate. I'd advise not putting that on a public forum though as the Avid Police may just need something to sink their teeth into this morning.

Remember: No Good Deed Goes Unpunished!

I have contributed tens of thousands of dollars to Avid's coffers and still feel the company needs a swift kick the common sense center to make them understand they are dealing with professionals and not kids with most of their software, and since we also buy their hardware...

Dear Avid;
For gracious sakes, Avid, get rid of the stupid iLok and ridiculous policies which only make it harder for us return customers! Computers crash. Hard drives fail. Software gets corrupted. Make it easier for us to keep working, get back working, after something goes wrong.. NOT HARDER!!

Thank you, steam vented.

You need to register your version of PT8 with Avid. Once you do, you will have access to the download. If you purchased PT8 from a third party, you need them to transfer the registration to your account (this is separate from the iLok license).
