The Buzz just came out, and I know of no one who has demoed it, although I am certain someone has... ....so I cant comment on that pre. I do have a P1 and a mono Gama tho, and can comment on those two. I dig em both...this is all IMHO of course....I enjoy the Gama on voices more than the P1, but dig the P1 on most instruments....congas, drum room, acoustic guitar, and electric too. The P1 seems to have a pronounced upper mid thang going on, which helps it cut through, without the source being harsh in any way. The Gama on voices just seems nice and smooth, not too forward, of course...YMMV. Unless you have a 2 slot rack, I suggest to get both!! sdf |

by "BUZ" they may have meant Biz and they all kick ass. so buy whichever one you think looks better.

Though I haven't tried the 'Biz' or the 'Gama', the A-Designs P-1 really SLAMS! I will be posting a sample this evening from session I tracked this past weekend where I used the P-1 on guitars! FAT CITY! |

I have the Biz and P-1. I prefer the Biz for most things. The p1 is awesome, but the Biz has a certain sound I like. I also like the fact that the Biz has both input and output pots. You can drive the input really hard and ride the output down. You need a pad or an ATTY with the P1 to do that. Having said that, my P1 isn't going anywhere, it's my best pre for certain sources. |

To coincide with your typo, Buzz Audio just released the Elixir, which is their 500 series pre.

******//www.atlasproaudio.com/elixir.html Anyone try out the Buzz MA-1.5? It looks like these ones won't fit the 500 racks though. ******//www.buzzaudio.com/products/arack.htm | |
