Personally I'd buy one either from Sunset or Mercenary, but I have a buddy who got his from Sonic Circus: (from the website-- Sonic Price: $2,849.00)

cheers

If you're only going to use it for stereo material get the version with 1 set of controls, it's $500 cheaper.

i got mine from Alto as well - it was a good deal.

and for what it's worth, the C1 is not a 'bargain C2', IMO these units are very different-sounding

this is a recent quote from jules in a silmilar type thread.

i coundn't agree more. these companies that might have given you a good deal on equipment purchases may wind up getting in trouble becuase you are posting it here on the internet. don't you realize that the maufactures of the gear keeps an eye on these type of forums?

Yeah, just get a decent price from a reputable seller.

I guess I don't really understand the obsession with shaving the last few bucks. How much is your time worth?

Probably best to pm for this sort of thing. Seems like you should be able to ask these kind of questions but yer right, retailers get heat for this.

Definitely ... be discreet

PM people if you know a good deal. Manufacturers watch these posts and then will disallow the retailer from carrying their products if they hear it is being sold much less than their suggested retail price. It is expensive endeavor to build a decent studio ... so any savings is good thing. We don't want these outlets for reasonably priced gear to evaporate. Most of them are musicians/engineers just like us who are trying to give us a break.

Nope! But if i had money right now, i'd probably buy it....$500 is quiet a saving if the condition is close to new...

Am i being blamed for helping this guy out or what?

Oh! And for your own info, i'm self employed...., plus when i have stuffs to sale, i put it in the classified section of this site or ebay, or Pm the people when they post a wanted thread...I'm not like the Fairman's girl who was sneaking in each thread about Eq or comp to insert pics of their products with 2 thumbs up a while ago...

Now, i don't worry about gear's manufacturer...I worry more about musicians: It takes them several month to record an album, and a week after its realease, it's available for free on peer to peer networks....THAT really SUCK!!! So at this point, to me, any way to lower the production's cost is fairly understandable!

New?
If yes, congrats.
Anyway, savings are not symbolic as it might seems to some lazy buyers

Haha, yeah brand new. I was pretty happy. I'm anything but a lazy buyer. I go through hell just to save a few pennies just cause this gear is so damn expensive to begin with. I probably have twice as as of equipment than I should just because I shopped correctly.
