![]() I've heard nothing but rave reviews on the sound of the Spider. Would anyone be willing to post or PM me a link to something you've recorded completely on it? Thanks!

Great. Thanks, Digitmus, for providing some examples. I felt the stereo separation was superb. And a crystalline high end really came through on the synths. Would anyone else care to submit an example or two of their Spider recordings? |

Check my very feeble attempts at recording one of my songs at: www.nowhereradio.com/youngidiot/ in the 'discography' section under 'halve merci' The song is "Given". "Cassie" is also done like this. CS Spider -> Cubase SX Please consider that I am not a professional engineer, just someone who is enthusiastic about writing music and needs a nice way to record it. DigiMus- can you send me your clip?? |

Cool. Thanks, BA. I'm curious: did you use the limiters or the fatness buttons? (You sound like Dan from Jars Of Clay, who happens to be a friend of mine.)

The only thing the buttons were used on was the backwards guitar solo in Cassie- which btw was all direct. They're old clips though and my technique is getting better. That's high praise btw, thanks :-) My other stuff is a lot different than those two songs and not nearly as listenable ;-) |

I don't have any clips, Bob Olhsson does, but he and I recorded Reggie Young with Michael Wagener's Spider a while back and it was absolutely the shit. Very clean, with lots of body and presence. Really sweet piece of gear. Everything I've tried from Cranesong sings. Rich, pristene audio. P.S.-If you want the 8-out lightpipe to work to your DAW You need to also order an adapter from Cranesong.

The lightpipe output is via the lightpipe output module... we have both AES/EBU and lightpipe output modules in stock so we can ship them with whatever output the client would like... as for recordings done with it... the thing I'm working on now, the entire basics session was done with it.... 4mics on the drums, w/pre-fader direct outs as well as a balance in the 2 buss, bass; mic and DI and two guitars to 10 channels on the DAW. Worked like a charm, but it ain't done yet so I can't post/play anything. Sorry.
