Does anyone has used the Gyraf G XIV Eq?

all is in the title!!

i look for an other eq to complete my ibis in my mastering set up on the color side

yes, if you want a smooth and tight eq, this is the very best.

how does it compare to other mastering tube eqs, like Manley MP, tube tech eqs eq1A , or the EAR mastering one?

it's incredible!!!


there're many nice comments here on their compressor, the Gyratec X, but nothing about the eq !!!

I think one thing to remember is that a lot of the Gearslutz are based in America, and with the dollar being so weak at present + big shipping costs of something so heavy, it's a big gamble to take a risk on something that has so few reviews. Of course the flip side is that, it is much cheaper for us Europeans to buy US products now than ever before and the longer Shadow Hills take to complete my Gama 8, the less my bill will be.

I can't see how you can go wrong with those Gyraf products tho. Please let us all know if you buy one.

G14 EQ is cool for mastering

Have borrowed one for a couple of mastering projects and am really happy with its performance. Like the MassPass its not the most transparent, but what comes out of it really sounds like MUSIC.
I'm getting one in the near future - gotta have one for the music!

it sems very similar to the EAR eqs mastering too, nobody has used the two ?

I have never tried the EAR, but I own a GXIV (Can I just type G14 so my head doesnt hurt ?) and its an excellent eq....
