| I just noticed some new pages on the Lauten Audio site. Lauten Audio - Sessions - Drums The session was done at Kronos and we were testing out some of the mics coming out from Lauten, as well as their current Horizon tube LDC's. Here is Gary Novak (my partner and drummer for the day) with Brian Loudenslager - founder of Lauten, Kronos147 (a.k.a. Eric  ) and Grammy nominated Engineer Mike Terry. Here is a pic of a Glyn Johns setup.  Here is one with the tube SDC's on as overheads.  There are a ton of audio samples on the site from that day. I am about to go check them out (again!). We did piano day 2 in case anyone is interested. Scott Kinsey was playing. Lauten Audio - Sessions - Piano  Fun time, thanks Brian, Terry, and Scott! P.S. |  Techies Clearmountain & Bryan Adams attempting to troubleshoot a technical difficulty with one of the mics on Mickey Curry's drums (at Bryan's Warehouse Studios.) It turned out to be a crack in the diaphragm.

Kick in: AKG D12 Kick out: Sondelux iFet7 with Neumann K47 capsule Snare: AKG D19C top, Shure SM57 side, Sennheiser MD441 bottom OHs: Neumann M49s in Glyn Johns triangle Hat: AKG C460 with CK28 capsule Toms: Sony C37As Front center: Coles 4038 Stereo room: Beyer M160 in corners facing wall I don't believe in blanket tunnels, btw.
