I have heard gripes about the M-Audio 88 key controllers not being the best as far as "Piano feel" is concerned. They are also made of plastic, but isn't everything these days? I know the CME are made of aluminum, and I have heard only one gripe about the feel of it's keys. Haven't laid a hand on either though, but I have been looking into it for myself and this is what I've heard.
