or

2) A really good vocal tracking comp ala(CL1B(change the tubes),MC77,UA LA2A)

or

3) The flavor of "last" month- a summing box

For my fee keep the dough and send a roundtrip ticket to Maui.

"Better" is a subjective word.

I like to use the word "different".

They all sound different and bring out different aspects of a vocal and we know in todays modern productions it starts with the vocal and the vocals have to be stellar.

In a perfect world you will have one of each(which i do except for the Pendulumn).

In my opinion i would go for the UA LA2A.

You need a character comp in your arsenal.

You got a lot of bread and butter pieces.

Now its time for a little Jam.

A second Distressor and a box of Hoyo De Monterey Double Coronas.

Then kick it out on one of the Wailea beaches puffing on some heavenly Cuban air and imagine how much greater life is going to be having a pair of Distressors at your disposal vs. just one.

actually i'm gonna give another hollar at the C37A. insane amp mic. coupled with an r121 you'd probably have to bring a few changes of shorts to work.

Not only would I keep the order for the Chandler Germanium, I would budget another grand or so for the second one you are sure to order after hearing it!

I've bought and sold a ton of gear, but this pre is the first piece I have EVER bought that I would never dream of selling under any circumstances.

Definitely worth checking out before you decide to go with something else...
