OK, so I just got an email after sending in the card I filled out which NOWHERE on the card did it say anything about having to have purchased between Oct 1, 2011 and Dec 31, 2011. I had bought mine previously to Oct. I had loved Universal Audio up until today. Clearly it was a marketing mistake on the form I sent in which was download from their website when I registered the LA610 MKII, which they didn't argue about the fact it DID NOT have the Oct 1 - Dec 1 restrictions, anywhere on it. So after weeks of waiting and being a loyal customer, who would have spent hundreds to thousands on plug-ins for it, is not left with a real bad taste from UA. If anyone else has a copy that DID NOT have the Oct 1, 2011 - Dec 31, 2011 on it, let me know. They are claiming this doesn't matter, but I have seen numerous times when companies make and error like this and had to stand behind that error. My company has had to do it in this very similar case. I'm not trying to be a hardball and never knew about the limitations until about an hour ago. I just want them to treat me fair for THEIR error. Just not cool.

are you saying that you can't seperate the preamp from the comp? why can't you use it for mixing?

I just got the rebate plug-ins..After registration and authorization, I opened the control panel and saw most of the plug-ins are 14-day demos, which means I have to purchase them if I want to own them... There are only 4 or 5 plug-ins that are authorized. It was quite a "WTF" moment for me. Waited for 6 weeks for this?? Or is there another "auth" file somewhere that I have missed?

Still waiting on mine. I sent it in early December. We'll see. I am happy with the pre, but the solo will go nicely in my setup.

What "rebate" plugins are you talking about?
The deal is that the LA 610 came with a free UAD2 DUO - the latter one of course includes the "Analog Classics"-Bundle (LA-2A, Pultec EQP-1A, 1176LN & SE, Realverb Pro, CS-1 Channelstrip and single plugins + 50$ voucher).

If you thought your LA 610 would come with a UAD2 DUO card AND all UAD plugins you should take a look at the price of the UAD2 omni package.

Question to any of you that got did the free UAD deal... how long did it take to receive your card after you sent in the paperwork? Right now the UAD plugs are probably going to be more useful than the preamp as I'm really just mixing and finishing up projects for the rest of the year.

Thanks!
I bought mine on Nov 25 2011, mailed the rebate the same day. Card showed up January 21st.

Yup... a "cheap" ass la2a style of compression...
my mic tracking setup: MIC-> NEve 1073->1176->La 610... smooth in your face vocals!

LOL yeah I was confused beyond belief. I really do enjoy the UAD2 DUO. I can't imagine life without the Pultec EQ and the 1176LN
