mastering in london

Hi,
I'll need to master an album+ 2 singles for a new production of mine in the end of may.
the mastering MUST be in london (band request) and shouldn'T cost more than 900-1000$ (labels limit).
anything good fot this price/location?

Kasach

Can I piggy back on your thread, as I was going to ask something similar in the next couple of weeks ? FWIW I'm less bothered about London but UK would be good.

I have several records that were mastered by Chris Blair at Abbey Road. Is he out of budget range? I don't even know. I do know I like his work...but for all I know that might be like suggesting Bob Ludwig.

Sadly Chris passed on recently: ******//www.abbeyroad.co.uk/news.php?id=129

He was a true gent.

Tim Young at Metropolis is fantastic. He's also available for 'iMastering'... which miight make it a bit cheaper.....? ******//www.imastering.co.uk/engineers/tim_young

I'm sorry to hear about Chris Blair.

Did Chris have an assistant...kind of like Adam Ayan to Bob Ludwig?

Tim Young at Metropolis recently mastered a local Swiss band that a colleague mixed.
He did a wonderful job but I cannot tell you how much it cost as I do not know myself.

Hi Kasach,

try ******//www.soundmasters.co.uk/

I have used both Kevin and Streaky. Kevin is an industry vet and has a great deal of experience, Streaky has built a good reputation too. I would recommend an attended session rather than a 'virtual' session (online mastering) but as you are in London, no worries.

Also, John Dent has a great rep with his company LOUD mastering. They are based in Thornton, Somerset though (not that far out of Londres)

cheer
