The review in Audio Media says POA, but in the text makes reference to it being a 10k controller.... (that's probably Pounds Sterling BTW as the reviewer is British).

To quote:

The Euphonix plan is one of an open system for which anyone can write an application set and, if it's good enough, Euphonix will stick it on it's website. Guaging from the downloads the most popular application sets are for Nuendo, Pyramix, Protools, and Logic, although you've got to admire those people using a 10k media controller for iTunes- respect.

It's not a terribly insightful review, but seems pretty positive..... I'd love to check it out myself.

It does look VERY sexy...!
But unless you're going to go buy the expansion modules it's a lot of money for a keyboard, trackball and four faders.... Looks fantastically well built though.

I wonder how much the expansion modules are?

The MC Controller (the one pictured in the post above) lists at $20K, with a street price of $18,200. Be careful of additional charges. If you have Nuendo, you have to buy Eucon for another $1k. Pyramix probably charges for it's Oasis protocol.

I don't know how much the MC-5 is, though.

Thanks for the info... Looks like a great product.. I would like to have an MC with only 8 on the left and right, instead of 16 (like the mc-5)...

According to the brochure, that would make it the 5 ft. version..

Damn. I wasn't expecting that much... high but not 20,000. I guess you can use it for other use's other then just one DAW.

HMMM... can you use an ICON for anything other then ProTools?

j/w...

Indeed you can. It has a group of four buttons near the upper right that allow you to instantly switch between four separate DAWs running completely diffferent apps and the MC surface instantly reconfigures when you press the buttons...
