inovonics 201 vs DBX 160x

can only really afford to have one compressor in my studio.

have the 160x - am thinking the inovonics 201 might be more versatile, so thinking about selling the DBX to help fund the 201.

is that a good idea?

drums (sampled ones, not live) are my focus. know the 160x is widely considered great on snare, but I hear the 201 is great on drums too, plus might be more versatile in general.

so... DBX or Inovonics?

I LOVE the inovonics 201

But if I could only have one comp it would be the 160x. It's got less wow factor but it's solid on tons of sources.

how about purely on drums - one comp just for drums out of the 2 of these?
