Thread Starter | Aurora 16 / Lynx AES 16e / PT 9 / Throughput Latency
Hey all- I've done tons and tons of reading on this forum and have only been able to find the throughput latency for HD Native. I'm running Pro Tools 9 Native (not HD) with an Aurora 16 with the Lynx AES 16e card. Anyways, I just finished tracking vocals. They were all tracked at a Buffer of 128 and the Sample Rate is 96Khz. When I tried to go to 64 I got cracks and pops. I didn't realize until it was too late that this was most likely because of my UAD2 cards (I have a Mac Pro 12 Core / 2.93Ghz / 64GB RAM / All SSD's....blah blah). Upon listening back....I can hear that the vox are not as tight as they should be. At least what I think they should be. Does anyone know what the throughput latency would be for this system when tracking vocals at a Buffer of 128 with a Sample Rate of 96Khz? Also, if I do find out this figure, would it be safe to just select all the vocal tracks and nudge them back by this amount of samples? Thanks in advance. Scott
