Thread Starter | mkh40 compared to u47fet? Steve Orchard interview
Interesting. Has anyone tried a mkh40 on kick/bass drum? Around half way through the video interview he compared an mkh40 to a u47fet on kick. There is some other interesting / useful information as to how he mics drums in there as well. But I am really curious about the u47fet comparision. I use MKH-40's on kick, snare and OH's fairly regularly. Depends on the vibe, really. But yes, the MKH-40 gives a very similar result.
