500 Series Module Porn !

with today's arrival of the Purple "The Biz", my 11 space OSA rack is now complete.

Also, with the inclusion of a MacBook Pro and Swissonic AD96, you're looking at my remote recording rig.

i'm not a good judge of weight, but i'd say with the rack bag and 2882+DSP, about 50 lb's give or take.. not including the OSA PSU.

if i thought one module sounded the best, i wouldn't have 9 different ones would i?

considering i felt the most need to have pairs of the P1's and the MP1-C's, that should give you an idea which ones i value the most. But i do value them all, though the Biz is less than a day old so time will tell with that one.
They all have their place, not too much overlap.
I used to have an MP1-A and an EM Blue, both of which i traded in to get pairs of MP1-C's and P1's for stereo recording.

and now, to begin my 8 space EQ rack.. 560's/550a's/550b's/Avedis's

just kidding!

Damn............. I've got 3 spaces left myself, with a knife held to my kidney. Any takers?

On a side note. I was recently dissuaded from buying a pair of A's, because I already have a pair of C's, for a pretty good price. Why AdamJay, why?

It is by far the most versatile of the bunch.

I'll have to hear it. I don't want any overlap. I just wanted to pack as many flavors in a 3U rack as i could for doing live recordings and remote overdubs.

AJ,

why do you like the OSA "L" so much? And thats NOT the L3 right?

I am waiting on a EM silver, and will have 4 empty spaces...

That OSA L is in my price range!! But so is da Biz...Tell us about the Biz, and you have no room for the Buzz audio pre!! I will do you a favor and buy one of your pres off you so you can have room for the Buzz

rock
