NSEQ-2 Problem

My very loved and wonderful Balanced Millennia Media NSEQ-2 is making a irregular
crackling sound from the channel 2 output. Bum. Also that channel has a very noticeable noise floor
hiss where as the good channel has none.

At first i thought it was my new Fred Forssell SMP-2 (stereo mic pre) giving off the sound but i took all things
out of the chain and was left wth the grace feeding the EQ, then back to the Grace 904. I swapped cables and
did all the checks, and it is 100% coming from the output only of channel 2.

It makes no difference if in J-Fet or Tube. it starts out clean(w/ the noise floor sound) then starts the crackle.

I will be emailing Millennia tonight, and calling my dealer in Melbourne tomorrow.

Anyone in Sydney recommended to check out my baby.. :((

Millennia International Distributors
Here is the link to Australian Distributor (and Technical Service I think).
I had a similar problem in my SST1 in Spain.
Good Luck

Sounds like a pot is becoming worn out. A dealer should be able to service for you.

Hi Ben,
I turned and twisted and tapped all pots and switches in that channel, all
performed as designed with no connection to the noise floor sound or the erratic
clicks, pops and scratchy artifacts sounds in that channel.

Some have mentioned op amps but here is a sound bite..

I got that problem to last 2 weeks I Don't know where the clicks pops come from but after few minutes it disappears. do you already know what it is? is it repairable? I think go send the unit to Millennia retailer. That pops clicks irritate me I think it is poor quality components from Millennia.
