DSI MEK Squeeking Middle C Key

The thing just arrived at my house several hours ago, and already I'm having issues with it. I haven't been playing particularly vigorously, or smashing the keys so... I'm kind of disappointed.

The middle C key is squeaking loudly when pressed. It only squeaks when pressed normally; if you push the key to the left slightly and play it, it will not squeak. Anyway, is there anything I can do about this? Is this considered a defect?
