Schoeps MK4 or MK4V for OH's?

I'm considering couple of cardio capsules for my Scheps CMC6. There's a version MK4V with slight emphasis around 10k that looks really interesting.
Anyone used these for OH's?

I´ve only used the standard cardiod caps on both CMC6 and M222 and especially if your recording to digital (not tape) they are plenty bright enough. The lift is useful if your using as a distant ambient pair maybe, but the quality of the sound is so good that if you do need more air just use a quality analogue or digital EQ the mics capture the sound so well there is plenty there to work with.

I´ve also used the standard MK4 with great success on acoustic guitars, strings, I feel if you have an emphasis lift you may find them too bright and the mic set could loose its all round usefulness to you.

Unless you have a very specific need for this mod stick with the standard ones, they are fantastic.

In the case of a small diaphragm condenser, especially a main or only pair, I'd rather have a flatter response than a brighter one. I find less bright, but natural, more flexible all around. There is nothing wrong with adding a little high freq with EQ (or a lot for that matter with a good EQ).
