Thread Starter | Are there any M7 Capsule Experts out there?
I own 2 m7 capsules for my CMV-563 Microphones... Both are working quite nicely except there is one problem.... one is really muffled and sounds like a ribbon microphone and the other sounds extremely clear and unbelievable!! click the links below to hear the difference. (these samples ran through the same mic pre, the same mic cable, and same cmv-563 body) *NOTE* DONT JUDGE MY LACK OF DRUM SKILLS! If you want to get your capsules serviced/reskinned, I would not hesitate to contact Thiersch about getting your capsules reskinned. How do the capsules look btw? Are they in good shape and you still have these discrepancies between them? Peace Illumination

When my M7 capsule went, it was REALLY obvious and unuseable. If you can handle NOT using both, I suggest you send both to a pro and let the pro look; and send along notes suggesting which one you prefer. I doubt that someone would be able to match the two with out reskinning both, but perhaps there's some other issue that is easily solved. |
