Thread Starter | Mixing with outboard gear in Logic 9, latency issue
So I recently got a distressor, and wanted to run a kick/snare subgroup through it. I noticed that there is a pretty big latency issue here, it almost makes a flamming effect. my kick/snare is sent to a bus. that bus has the I/O plug in on it, and it is being returned to another bus. i noticed my roundtrip latency is 11.7 ms. rather than download a plug in to compensate, couldnt i nudge the stuff over with a sample delay? ex: sample rate is 44.1, meaning 44,100 samples per second. divide that by 1000, gives you 44.1 samples per millisecond. 44.1 multiplied by 11.7(my latency in milliseconds) is 515.97 samples. why wouldnt a sample delay set to 515.97 work to correct the issue? |

Subsample latency...... Do a search, there are a couple of threads, which debate the possibilities of being able to Parallel process in the box

Which Version of Logic 9 do you run? After the 2 last updates I don't have latency problems with the I/O plugin anymore.
