Thread Starter | Please Help, Aurora LT-ADAT Trouble.
Hi everyone, I wish someone can help me with this one. I recently got my Aurora 8 with the lt-adat card and im trying to hook it up to my focusrite saffire pro 26 i/o. I run this on a mac book pro together with Pro Tools 9. I hook everything up as it should be (according to the manuals) but i can't get it to show up in PT9. So please, can someone help me to make this work? Maybe give me a quick easy tutorial to make sure i do everything right? I googled, searched here on GZ and tried everything possible but nothing, nada. And Lynx support isn't really the fastest to respond so... It isn't my first converter to work with, but this one is by some reason confusing me a little bit. Oh well, I hope someone is kind enough to help me. Thank you guys. |

If so, it doesn't need to show up in PT. PT talks to the Saffire via ASIO and addresses all the inputs and outputs of the Saffire. It doesn't know (and does not need to) about what you have hooked up to the ADAT ports. Simply go to PT's i/o-settings and configure all inputs and outputs of the Saffire (at least 16 of them so you catch the ADAT channels). Then you should be able to send audio to and from the Aurora. If you hooked up the Aurora to the first ADAT port, I guess it will be addressed using in/outputs 9-16 of the Saffire, while 1-8 are used be the Saffire's built-in converters and 17-24 by the 2nd ADAT port. I hope that helps.
