Thread Starter | Using a DI to re-record a balanced signal through a mic pre
Hello, Long title, I know. I am wanting to take a balanced line level signal from my patchbay (VSTI balanced line level signal output or an audio track form my DAW) , patch this through a DI and then into a mic pre of my choice for recording back into the DAW. Will a DI accept a line level balanced signal? Do I need to wire the cable going to the DI so that the end that is on the patchbay is balanced and then wire it unbalanced on the connection side of the DI? How are you all dealing with this situation. |
