Is your Atlas an SB36?
Just want to make sure we're comparing apples to apples here.

Saw this ebay auction hitting tomorrow of a true MONSTER mic boom so you California guys with a big enough live room that can pick it up (probably need a truck LOL) it may be quite the bargain (it's at $99 with no bidders). I don't know the seller so use your usual comon sense as with any ebay auction but maybe a fellow member here can put it to use. If one of you guys pick up a bargain you owe me a beer for the tip!

I have no problem using an Atlas stand in my vocal booth. I can't remember the model but I bought a separate boom and stand with a heavy base. Not to leave Latchlake out, I also have three of there Xtra booms that I attach to my Atlas as well as other stands. Sorry Jeff. I intend to get the smaller Latchlake stands at some point but it is just a lot of money for a stand. Plus I don't have any rooms with ceilings taller than 9 or 10'.

I actually had a client knock over a gobo into one of my latch lake stands with an original ELAM 251 E on it... The latch lake barley moved when the gobo hit it and stayed in place with a 60lb gobo leaning against the stand. No way that mic wouldn't have hit the floor if it had been on an atlas.

Got it for $305. Packing for shipment to Minnesota should be a real challenge.

Lemme know how to get that beer to you Bassmankr.

The stand will be added to the Latch Lake R&D collection.

Are you sure that's a mic stand and not some kind of lunar probe?

Jeff, glad to see someone here found it useful. I'm just NW of Chicago in the extended burbs. If you ever get my way give me a PM and well go out for that beer and talk gear.
