Candlebox: Self titled..

Anyone got any info on the mix of this record, especially the reverbs used?

It's one of the best (sonically) overall sounding records in history IMO.

pretty well mixed album, although here at work it sounds a bit on the scooped side... mids might be more prominent through my monitors though.

Kevin is a great guy. Smokes too much to scream like that. LOL. A lot of that first album came from demos. Good stuff.

no offense but as good as the material was on that cd it still sounds like a demo to me. Campare that to a zep cd like II or Phyiscal Grafitti and there is no comparison. It doesn't even sound as good as pearl jam 10 and I think that sounds bad.

I find many times that cd's people think sound good are the same cd's that they connect with emotionally.
I love that disk from a writing and soul lyric standpoint but I could have gotten a better sound than that on my
otari mx 5050 8 track and my old allen and heath board that I used in the 80's.

sorry
