What kind of arranging do you need ? And do you want a composer situated in Chicago ?

I´ll do it cheap if it´s something I like, and you like what I do. I use Sibelius.

Here's a short list of 1st call Chicago session drummers:

Matt Walker (particulary good w/ loops and programming)
Larry Beers (any style, strong groove)
Dave Suycott (rock drums and programming)
Mike Zelenko (rock, great at tuning drums)
Gerald Dowd (sp?)-anything
Dan Massey (great feel, good for folk, alt-country)

PM me for contact info.

Also, if your looking to work that fast, I wouldn't recommend CRC.
CRC is good or audio post and/or long-term record projects.
Not the place to rent for a day or two of drums.

Trust me, I worked in chicago studios for 12+ years, and know all the places and people mentioned.

Wall to Wall will be OK, but if you only have a limited time, I'd look at Gravity Studios, and that juicy Neve 8058. Most importantly, make sure you're working w/ an experienced engineer; or if you are an experienced engineer, get the best assistant available.

my 2 cents

cheers

I miss that band too. Check out our last release " Tellecommando Americano" 1997, Rykodisc. All the demos we did up intill Jim's death. All recorded with Jay O'Rourke in his garage from '95 to mid '96. I think it's out best record. Tower has it.

Current band:

Always like to do recording project/session work. Contact me. Can drum doctor too.

Do you think that he's still looking for a session drummer after the last post on February 19th, 2006?

by far the best session drummer/composer i have worked with in Chicago is Michael Caskey.

AMAZING drummer and almost as good at keys.

i have worked with a lot of guys in this city and seen every guy mentioned on this thread, but none of them can hold a candle to Michael Caskey in my opinion.

he is in another league!
