Legendary amplifier?

Howdy peeps!
Greetings from a reformed audiophile. By that I mean I used to spend far too much time and money on overpriced and over-hyped hi-fi. But don't worry, I have seen the error of my ways and am moving over to "proper" gear. That's where you guys come in...

I need a power amplifier to run my lovely PMC MB2i speakers. They don't need to run particularly loud, but I do want a very honest sound (unlike so much hi-fi, which just sends me to sleep, even if I'm listening to Trivium!) What do you guys recommend? Budget is up to £2,500 but I'd be happy to pay less! Current favourite is a Chameleon.

Don't forget to read about, and buy, over 1000 types of microphone preamps!
Then sell them when you realize that it's not that big of a deal.
