| Looking for Engineer/Producer in Austin Hello, My band and I are looking to record (2) songs for SXSW and are looking to do it as reasonably priced as possible. We are looking to book 1-2 days with a solid engineer or a engineer/producer. The sound we are going for is something in the area of Interpol/Death Cab/Gorillaz. We would love to hear examples of your work if you have them online. A great drum sound and ability to record us live to 2" tape is a huge plus. Please send us an e-mail if you think your right for us and vice versa. Take a listen www.myspace.com/bellaparker e-mail @ contact@bellaparker.com Recording would take place sometime between Feb 26th and March 8th. |

| i'm too busy, and lack 2" tape...but a guy i love is Frenchy at The Bubble Studio. they've re-done the studio and Frenchy is a very interesting engineer. not sure if he/they are available, but it might be worth the look. i don't have a link but just google "The Bubble Austin" and you'll find them. oh wait, come to think of it, Wire Studios has a great engineer too. http://www.wirerecording.com/ also, Mark at Congress house has 2" and is a great engineer too. http://www.wirerecording.com/ no offense intended to any of my Austin bretheren who i didn't mention...i just know those 3 very well. good luck, marty. |

| John and Mary at Top Hat do a nice job, too, reasonable rates, and they have a 2" machine.

| Another cat you should definitely call is Gary Greer at Austin Trax, he digs your style of music and is one of my favorite engineer/producers in town. 2", tons of great gear, and great ears. http://www.austintrax.com
