Thread Starter | Focusrite Red 3 on the stereo buss?
I have the opportunity to purchase a Focusrite Red 3 for a reasonable price so to use it on the stereo buss. Is anyone using it on the buss, and what are your results? I know it's all a matter of taste, but I hardly ever see anyone using them. Thanks. |

This explains it in a nut shell. I use it on the mixbuss when the SSL Quad comp is just too much or if its a pop/ track heavy mix that needs the vocals to pop out. Most of the time i use it somewhere in the mix. | |

The Lord Alges Tap them on the master buss...so you can bet a good bit of what you hear on the radio is going through one...It's a very gentle compressor, gives a little more out of your mix, and hard to mess up. -brian |

I've been told electric guitars sound amazing through these eqs...anyone gotten a lot of use out of these? I can't see spending 1500 or so for eqs i'l only use every once in a while.

The Red 3 is a stereo compresor, not an EQ.
