Thread Starter | Need Plate reverb help !
Anyone know who could work on my old EMT 140 tube plate reverb electronics? The electronics are missing a part. I never got to hear this thing since I bought it years ago and it's time to get it going. I'm located in Pa and would like to find someone on the east coast to work on it if I could. I also bought new stereo pickups and put them on so I need to upgrade to a two ch pre amp since the plate was mono when I bought it. Thanks............ |

if you open it and find the driver, and it looks as if the driver has easily removable connections, you can attach that temporarily to any amplifier that has a feed from your aux send........ i have a custom built plaste very much like a 140......i have two sets of pickups.... the newer ones came from james _______ i forget the name, but i could find it - he was the echoplex guy i think.......the pickups are amazing and were $50 for the pair, they each go through a $18 radioshack part before going into a daking pre on their way back to the board........ in short, if you have an amp, a way to get it signal and $50 and a couple of mic pres, you could have the plate going in a few days...... then you can get the original electronics looked after........ just my 2 cents be well - jack |
