Chandler 1073EX & 1272EX

Hi,

does anyone know these units and have experience with them?

I saw them on the website of Swedish "Golden Age Music" but have never heard of them before.

Supposely the 1073EX is the same circuit as the LTD-1 but less expensive due to different manufacturing techniques whereas the 1272EX is a dual LTD-1 pre without the EQ (using those "different manufacturing techniques", too, I guess).

So... has anyone heard these units and an LTD-1 side by side? Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Does no one know these units?

Are these totally new or old and out of production so they don´t get mentioned?

I thought LTD-1 pre at a lower price point would draw some interest...

Anyway, I´d be thankful for some info on these

the ex series never existed

When Chandler first launched the LTD (neve) series they sent all us dealers literature which included the lesser expensive 'EX" series. Many dealers listed them as a product which was available, but in fact they never were.
The Chandler Line is hand built in the US. The EX series was not going to be under the same circumstances so Wade never released it to keep the brand itegrity up.
