Yes, DHD. I think this will be my setup: M 149 into a 1073, than I'll go for tube compression GT Glory Comp (I'll be a pioneer...) or a Tube Tech CL 1B and finaly I'll limit a little thru a dbx 160A.

If the signal path will pass thru that dbx, this will ruine everything?! It will be just a very little touch of the limiter; but I was wondering if that dbx is in the same "class" of quality with the other gear mentioned above... Or, maybe the dbx is very transparent and do only his job that "he's paid for".

And one GREAT dilema of mine:
Tube =more clear sound and non Tube =more thiker sound?

A few people have mentioned is that one chain doesn't suit everyone. So you might consider buying a few mic pres and compressors with your budget rather than blowing it all on a single channel of "the best". Because the best might work on one singer, where the next singer sounds their best through an SM-58, into a Portico, into an 1176 remake. That said, I look forward to your Glory comp review.

I am sure you could get those results with that mic,
But the bigger question is IF It will give that "magic" for the Particular Voice,
Keeping in mind that the Performance IS the Biggest importance of IT ALL.
