Chandler vs GTM822

Hi.

I know there´s been quite a few threads about summing mixers lately, but I never found one comparing the sound of the Chandler mini mixer and the GTM822. Has anyone tried both? Differences etc? Obviously the GTM has more functions, but can it match the sound of the Chandler?

Best/Oscar

I've had the Chandler for 2 weeks and I'm just getting the hang of it , it is a very very powerful mixer ... not for the faint of heart... if you've ever mixed on an old Neve it's sort of like that minus the eq ... you've got to run PT at low levels going in and to get a proper level to disc on the mix you've got to have a good leveling amp/ comp on the back end like an SSL to do make up on the gain.... good luck ...

you should ask Roundbadge what he thought of the Aurora .... not too positive, mind you he didn't think much of the Chandler either or summing in general for that matter

h

Thanks doogie.
Yeah, by the way, I actually just got the Chandler, but I haven´t really had time to try it fully yet. I did track some vocals with it, and thought it sounded great. Can´t wait to do some mixing with it.

Well.... I just bought a Neotek Esprit 64 ch console, so I guess I´ll have to let the Chandler go..... or maybe not, I haven´t decided yet.
I´m in the middle of an album production, so I haven´t really had the time to try the Chandler out yet.
