2 track editors/mastering software for mac

I didn't want to come across as rude, but the title for this thread should really be:

dfegad BIAS PEAK 4 IS S**T - HELP!

Simple as that, it really doesn't work, crashes easily, it's full of bugs... It really is the worse bit of kit I've ever bought.

Is there any onther 2 track editing/mastering software that you guys can recommend for mac?

Pretty much all I need to do with it is to put songs together, drop track markers and burn cd's. (not asking for much - yet again PEAK gives incredible amounts of grief).

I once saw a guy putting an album together in protools. He dropped the track markers in protools, did something, and then opened the album in something like toast or jam, and the markers were there. Do you guys know how to do this? It might not be the most professional way to finish a a product, but I'm desperate!

DSP-Quattro

The User-Interface is not as "dedicated" to 2-track editing as say, SoundDesigner II, but once you bother to read the manual for 10 minutes with the program open, it's easy and fast to use.

I bought the program. At less than $200, it's really good. There are versions that can be used on your old OS8/9 Mac, and new ones for OSX-dot-2/3/4.

I will say that it's "evolutionary" without adding clutter. If you can use Peak, or Spark, it's easy to get good results. I have never had the Mac crash while using DSP Quattro as the only app. The iLife suite, on the other hand.....

Cheers.

So far, Sonic Solutions (now Sonic Studio) is the only platform for mastering that I've used professionally. I take a look at the alternatives about once a year, and I keep coming-up short one way or another, so I've stuck with Sonic through the years.

You'd think it wouldn't be so hard to come up with some good software for mastering, and yet...

In the meantime, SS is working out fine.
