Thread Starter | Mulitask Audio : Dual core or bi-processor ?
Hi there, I'm looking to build a new DAW, and I was hesitating on building one based on a Dual Core (AMD64 x2) processor or a bi-processor unit (2x AMD Opteron). I've been looking in other non-audio related hardware forum, but it seems that it depends alot about the software environement you're working with. In my case, I'll be using Acid Pro as main sequencer, rewired with Giga. That's why I'm looking toward processor handling multi task applications. PS : I'll probably be running on a 32bit windows XP pro version. If you guys have your point of view or any experiences, I'll be glad to hear your feedback ! Thanx in advance |
