I keep hearing ground yer Pultec ground yer Pultec

I have a stock pair of EQP1-A program equalizers. I keep reading here that everyone needs to "ground their Pultec" for sonic nirvana. Mine have stock two prong plugs. I just connect XLR pigtails to the barrier strip. Sounds good to me. What am I missing? How did I miss it?

You might want to bring the chassis of the unit to a central ground terminal or frame of your desk... but other than that... everyone I've ever used has been fine without any special grounding bullshit.

Then again I've seen more mythological nonsense on some of these forums than in any of the Greek tragedies of old...
