Location of Forté consoles?

Does anyone know where the forté consoles ended up and if they are still in use?

There is only 1 Forte console in the world and last I knew it was at Pete Townshend's studio. The other Forte was taken apart and sold as modules. There are however about 10 Focusrite "Studio Consoles" but that's a different animal slightly.

Having some full forté modules racked up would be the sex!

Is the console in townsend's studio still in use?

Ocean Way has a Studio console, not the Forte. Electric Lady in NYC had a Forte but it's no longer there. There weren't many of either model made, but more Studio models were produced than Fortes.

I think JJP moved out of Ocean Way's Focusrite room and is working in their 88R room.

What's the difference between the two? I was under the impression he was working on a Frankenstein'd forté with alot of different parts from alot of different consoles

The Electric Ladyland console was designated Forte 002 (Master rock was 001). I was the project engineer that delivered the Electric Ladyland console and stuck the labels on when it was split in the Wooditton (near Newmarket), factory for shipping. I understand that this Console is now in a museum in New York.

Wow, that would be unusual! Have any idea what museum that would be?!

Thanks,

Never listen to opinions regarding tape, digital, analog, plug-ins, hardware, software, amp modelers, etc. For every 50 nobodies on Gearslutz that say a piece of gear doesn't sound good enough to cut it, I know at least one somebody who is cutting it in NYC with that piece of gear.
