Help needed in Room Acoustics Living Room

I made a errrr, rough draft of the room, will see if this is enough info.

Main goals, tracking vocals and acoustic guitar.

Thanks

I would hazard that for getting the most benefit with the least, is to start with some broad band reflection control. I.e. two inches or greater fiberglass, even partial covering (or sectioning) is a good start. And don't forget to include some overhead of the mic(s) as that can be a hard path that can wind up being even closer than the walls.
As a home-recor', that's about as far as I'd care to step in this company.

And mixing too, yes? I see a few problems:

One problem is the mix station is not symmetrical in the room. You really need to be centered left and right, and have the same type of surface on both sides for those parts of the side walls between your ears and the loudspeakers. Ideally, the entire room would be symmetrical, but with the stairs and openings that's probably not possible.

Without dimensions or photos it's impossible for me to be very specific. The square room is a problem, but maybe it's not really as square as you drew?

Other than that, all of the general advice in my Acoustics FAQ applies here too:
