Its Digi. What can you say? I guess guys that do this for a living can kinda read between the lines. ![]() When there is a blank space it would be safe to assume that its an SSL,Neve or API. In the Making of Meteora DVD its a Neve at NRG, SSL at Soundtracks mixed to a half inch.

..but...being the "recorder" of choixe is still pretty big. I mean; it's not a Studer, Otari MCI or Ampex more times than not these days.

I've never worked with a RI La2a...but, I have an original, Distressor, CL1b and the LA610 comp(in the family)...but, you know what kills on my voice? The La3a (vintage). It's like an La2a without all the fuzzies and a little more mid focus. Worth checking out...you may be liking the extra fuzzy warmth of the 2a, though...

The Ri La 2a didn't seem to be fuzzy like the old one. But I've heard nice things about the La 3a.

no, I am not a fan of DSD, and infact I record most Projects to PCM. The EMM puts out both format, you choose wheter your output is DSD or PCM (or probably even both...). All my tests with the EMM against Lavry Blue, Prims, Digi 192, Apogee's (diffenrent models) were all done on PCM 44.1 khz. I have not heard any better PCM Multichannal Converter (and the fact that they do DSD is a nice to have for me). Daniel www.ideeundklang.com

Talk about bringing out the dead... I bet money the 3DD thing was NOT mixed ITB. The studio had a SSL... And I know Andy Wallace never mixed on PT... |
