Equiptment and Clocking for PT

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I need advice on my current setup. I need to know what to clock everything to or if I should get a new clock source. I have:

-Digi 002
-Frontier Tango 24
-Amek DMCL w/digital option

This is the only "digital" gear I currently have, everything else is analog pres and compressors.

I want to run all 18 outs to my desk and a 2 track back into the 002.... currently I run only 16 outs via 8 digi and 8 tango to the board and then a 2 track through a compressor and to a stero input on the tango or through the amek the PT via spdif.

I have everything clocked to the 002 b/c it seems to be the only way it will work. I would love to get a new clock either the big ben or a cheaper lucid, but I see that the lucid only has BNC and only the tango and the amek have BNC, how would the 002 clock externally? Only spdif or adat, correct?

I guess these are the questions----

-What should I use for my clock?
-How to do it?
-What external clock will work?
-Is there a 2 channel D/A converter with a good clock?

In my opinion - the BIGBEN is one of the best clocks around. YMMV

yes the 002 will only clock via spdif or adat. how about a mytek stereo 96? i use one with a 002 and i have it as master clock via spdif and it is also master clock for a digimax via bnc at the same time. it outputs clock via spdif and bnc togther.
