How much should I pay for a BCM10 with no mic amp/eq modules? (I allready have them)

The alternative is the BAE rack but I would have liked to have had fader conrol.

May ask BAE if the fader pack from Neve could be wired in???

How good does the BCM10 sound?
Has anyone used the BAE rack?

Cheers,

Greg

Hi

Does it also come with the switching units, 1272's, power supply and everything else except the channel amps?

The BCM10 sounds excellent... odd thing to ask.

The price depends on condition and what's with it.

Hi Geoff

I can answer for Greg- the answer is yes it comes with everything except the modules which we have- Vintage King quoted us today $12000 US which we thought was very high indeed......

Thanks mate

I sold my BCM10 8 years ago for 45K. If you take out the 1073 modules which were going for 3.5K at that time the frame with all the 1272 modules, VU meters, routing modules and the AKG talk back mic would have been 10K... so I don't think VK is out of line 8 years later.

Now if you ask me if the frame is worth it... than no. In no way are seven 1272 modules, the routing modules, some VU's and an AKG condenser mic worth 12K.

Most of the time the desk did nothing for me while I used the modules and the direct outs... save yourself 10K and just rack those puppies... or better yet build a rack with direct outs and a little two channel summing at the end... you'd still save yourself about 8 or 9K.

Good luck.
