active splitter recommendations for 4 in/8 out

Any quality performing units that could be recommended? Are there any passive contenders that people have had good luck with? It's for a bussing mixer so signal purity is a must. Could be (4) 1 to 2 channels, (2) 2 to 4 channels, etc. It makes me wish for a console...

AV-DC4 Line-Level Audio Divider/Combiner with Ground Lift

Radio Design Labs AVDC-4

I've got four - which i use as two stereo pairs instead of using mixers. These are passive transformer - 4 in/4 out. You can combine or split, balanced or even unbalanced. I got a pair initially for a live rig, for the convenience of transformer isolation, matching unbalanced to balanced, and no batteries. I was so pleased that I used them for my studio monitoring chain, and had to buy some more. Very useful and I can't fault the audio quality. Just a small drop in level - which is not a problem with the fairly hot gear I use.
